HB3040-AMC REGULATION BILL ALERT

All appraisers,

As you may know by now, the big lenders, specifically Wells Fargo and Landsafe/CW/BOA are not very happy with the proposed AMC legislation, HB3040. Now is the time to act. Here is what we need you to do:

1. If your representative are on the House Ways and Means Committee or the Rules Committee, you need to contact them and tell them you strongly support AMC legislation in HB3040, and you want them to support it. Make sure you tell them that although the bill will create a fee, NO MONIES WILL BE REQUIRED FROM THE GENERAL FUND! In addition, make sure you emphasize that this is desperately needed for transparency and consumer protection.

2. Whether your member is on one of the committees or not, if you have evidence of heavy handed pressure of any kind, send it ACOW and to the committees.

3. If you have family members or friends who are not appraisers, have them call also as concerned citizens wanting consumer protection. Give them some talking points.

You can contact your reps via the state website. I have also attached a list of the names. The web addresses are:

House Ways and Means: http://www.leg.wa.gov/House/Committees/WAYS/Pages/MembersStaff.aspx

Rules: http://www.leg.wa.gov/House/Committees/RUL/Pages/MembersStaff.aspx

You can click on the link of your rep and follow links to send them an email via the state website. If you have evidence you can get their fax numbers from the website. If you have direct email contact to them or any of their staff, use those also. We need to inundate them with the evidence and the facts.

NOW IS THE TIME AND CHANCE TO TAKE BACK YOUR INDUSTRY. SAY, “NO!” AND CONTACT YOUR REPS. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.

Thank you,
